The JTS is an international symposium that explores the technical issues affecting the long-term survival of audiovisual collections, and it brings together the world's foremost research and thinking regarding the preservation and accessibility of moving image and recorded sound collections. Since the last symposium in 2010, the archiving world has seen many dramatic changes and advancements in the technologies that enable preservation, and the rate and magnitude of these changes require a collaborative approach to enable all archives to keep their collections alive for future generations. So the theme of JTS 2016 is Sustainable Audiovisual Collections Through Collaboration, and papers will be presented covering the on-going technological viability of audiovisual collections, as well as every aspect of audiovisual media preservation, harvesting, restoration, and accessing information such as metadata.

CEDAR Audio and CDA Pro-Audio Asia are therefore proud to be supporting JTS 2016 at the National Museum of Singapore from 7 - 9 March 2016, and will be attending to demonstrate how the CEDAR Cambridge system can assist all sizes of archives and libraries in the efficient restoration of their audio collections.

JTS 2016 is organised under the auspices of the UNESCO affiliate, the Co-ordinating Council of Audiovisual Archives Associations (CCAAA) and its members' Technical Committees. The event will be hosted by the South East Asia-Pacific Audio Visual Archive Association (SEAPAVAA) and the National Archives of Singapore (NAS).
