Deluxe StageOne Sound (Sydney) uses CEDAR on Knowing

Knowing, Deluxe, Stage One

11 May 2009

Filmed in Melbourne, Australia, with post production in Sydney, the new Nicholas Cage thriller Knowing was mixed at Sydney's Deluxe StageOne Sound.

To maximise the performance quality within the film, director Alex Proyas was willing to risk sacrificing audio quality by using a larger than usual amount of location dialogue in the final mix. For lead re-recording mixer, Phil Heywood, this presented the significant challenge of keeping the dialogue to the forefront of the mix without introducing undue levels of background noise, and he chose a CEDAR DNS to help reduce the location noise to an acceptable level.
