Optimum Mastering

1 July 2005

Optimum Mastering, a new, state-of-the-art post production facility based in the heart of Bristol'?s dockside, has purchased a CEDAR Duo Declickle™ unit as part of its commitment to providing comprehensive audio post-production in a professionally designed and purpose built studio.

Shawn Joseph at Optimum Mastering says, " The new declickle algorithm is excellent, and I have achieved fantastic results from vinyl ? especially recordings containing brass instruments. The sound is so natural, and I have used it on a variety of material including very rare, late-70s/early-80s house and dance music 45s for DJ Deep on BBE Records. I have also faithfully restored archive 78s from the 1940?s for Phoenix Historic Records."

The CEDAR Duo DDC 'Declickle' is incredibly simple to operate and makes truly automatic declicking a reality. It eliminates all manner of clicks, pops, crackle, and electrical interference in real-time without damaging the wanted signal and the performance of the unit is so good that, in almost all cases, it is not possible to hear that the wanted signal was damaged prior to restoration. With 24/96 audio interfaces, memories, automation and more, the CEDAR Duos are ideal for all uses where speed, simplicity and quality are paramount.
