Sepia Records was formed in June 2002 to release 'quality music of yesteryear', much of which has been neglected and almost forgotten. The label hopes that, by doing so, it will help to preserve these recordings for future generations.

Mr Lee Leng Kok of Ancient Sound Restore in Singapore has been working closely with Sepia Records, using his CEDAR for Windows system to ensure that many elderly tracks are restored to the highest possible standards before being committed to CD for re-release. Mr Lee recently received a letter from a grateful customer in the USA who bought the three CDs shown above. He said: "All of your work is simply phenomenal. These albums sound even more fresh and alive than the day they were recorded. So thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for the incredible work you have done. I applaud you loudly...for I have never heard restorations of material that old that sounded as if they were made yesterday. BRAVO, BRAVO, BRAVO! No-one else should ever be allowed near a dated recording except you! I look forward to seeing your name on many more CDs."
