Waterside Sound Studios installs CEDAR Series X and X+

CEDAR Series X and Series X+ audio restoration modules

15 May 2000

Waterside Sound Studios has installed a CRX decrackler, a DHX dehisser, and a BRX+ debuzzer at its post production facility in the UK. The Birmingham-based facility is one of the UK's leading post studios, with recent productions for the BBC, ITV and Channel 4 Television. These include Top Gear, CITV, The Cook Report: Millionaires, Two Strangers and a Wedding, Cutting Edge: Under The Sun, and Embarrassing Illnesses.

Robin Ward, Managing Director of Waterside comments, "The increased use of material acquired on DVC and similar formats is the main change in productions that led us to look for audio restoration devices. Cheap and portable formats have allowed economies and flexibility in shooting techniques but they require a great deal more treatment in post production. CEDAR 's processes are perfect for our requirements because they combine ease of use with powerful noise reduction and removal."

The CEDAR Series X range comprises the DCX declicker, the CRX decrackler, and the DHX dehisser. The CEDAR Series X+ range comprises the AZX+ azimuth corrector, and the BRX+ debuzzer.
